PASIG CITY—The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has imposed penalties on the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), the country’s transmission grid and system operator, for failing to meet the timelines the Commission set for the implementation of 27 Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) projects across various parts of the country. This follows an earlier Decision in August 2024, when the ERC penalized NGCP for delays in completing 10 other CAPEX projects.
